Best Brushes started with a simple frustration: the tools that actually work — the ones built to last, made by people who've spent decades learning their craft — were getting harder to find. The big marketplaces didn't carry them. Big-box stores weren't interested. So we built a shop around them.
More than a decade later, we're still at it. We're a small team based in Sparks, Nevada, and we're proud to be employee-owned — meaning the people who answer your calls and pack your orders are part-owners of the business. No outside investors. No corporate directives. Just a team that takes genuine pride in what they sell and how they serve you.
We've upgraded our warehouse and call center over the years — turnaround is faster and support is better than ever. What hasn't changed: every item in our catalog is chosen because someone on our team tested it, loved it, and decided it earned its place.
When a business is owned by its employees, the incentives change. We're not managing toward a quarterly report. We're trying to make sure you love what you ordered — and come back when you need something new. That's the whole model.
The person who packs your order owns the company too.
We don't carry products because they trend.
We carry them because they're exceptional — often made by small workshops in Germany, Scandinavia, or Japan that have been perfecting the same brush, the same soap, the same hand tool for generations. Many of our makers don't advertise. They just make remarkable things and trust that the right people will find them.
We hope to be that bridge.
Most of what we sell isn't available on Amazon or in big-box stores. That's not an accident. We seek out things worth seeking out — and bring them together in one place for people who care about doing things well.
